We will make a flower cane and then learn how to turn it into a wallpaper cane as seen in the picture. This is not as difficult as it looks once you see the technique. We well learn from a Donna Kato DVD.
You will need:
Clay - this one is done with and package of orange and red or dark pink, a half of purple, and two shades of green. She also used black and white in the center about a half package would be more than enough. Feel free to to change colors and use you own choices.
You will also need a pasta machine, surface to work on, blade, needle took and that is about it.
I am not a cane person, but I tried this and it went well even for someone who doesn't do "exact" well.
ELECTIONS - we had planned to do elections this month as well, but many of our normal members will not be in attendance due to schedule conflicts so we are putting it off for one more month. ELECTIONS IN JULY!!!!!
Hope to see you on Saturday.
